Calendula Infused Body Butter

Just in time for cold season air, I have a potent skin healer straight from my garden. I grew, harvested, and dried calendula all summer for this thick, potent body butter that will leave you with smooth, supple skin, and protected from the dry air of winter!

Calendula is notorious for its skin healing benefits. It is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which promote skin healing and reduce irritation from dry skin, eczema, and other rashes. Calendula is also full of fatty acids, providing superior hydration to skins cells. This also improves the elasticity of the skin, keeping it healthy and looking nourished.

Infused the dried flowers in olive oil, and whipped it into raw Shea butter, which is Queen of skin hydration. It is non-comedogenic, so won't clog pores but will penetrate the skin, protecting it from the inside out.

Arrowroot powder is not only used to ensure a smooth, not greasy feel to this body butter, but it also a good source of vitamins and minerals. Arrowroot powder is also effective at reducing skin irritation, which can be worse in the winter months.

This body butter is simple and complex at the same time. No artificial ingredients. No harsh, drying chemicals. No fragrance oils. All natural, Earth grown medicine and essential oils, and is my favorite recipe yet!

It was such a joy growing this beautiful medicine, and I spoke gratitude and reverence into each flower I trimmed by hand. Nature has everything we need, and to be the keeper of that wisdom is one of the greatest gifts. This body butter is not simply ingredients put together, it is literal intention, care, love, attention, and gratitude.
